WB Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter: The Boy Who Lived

Despite being an orphan, the boy who lived found homes in many. Albeit, one may not be as welcoming (*cough* Privet Drive *cough*).       Potters’ Cottage at Godric’s Hollow Though seen and mentioned only a few times throughout the series, the Potters’ Cottage is poignant reminder of where it all began. To refresh your memory (spoilers ahead, of course): Snape was eavesdropping on Trelawney’s first prophecy (that was supposed to be witnessed by Dumbledore only) about a boy…

WB Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter: The Great Hall

“Harry had never even imagined such a strange and splendid place. It was lit by thousands and thousands of candles that were floating in midair over four long tables, where the rest of the students were sitting. These tables were laid with glittering golden plates and goblets. At the top of the hall was another long table where the teachers were sitting. Professor McGonagall led the first years up here, so that they came to a halt in a line…

London in 12 Hours, An Itinerary

Just like Tokyo, New York, Singapore, Dubai and Paris, London always seemed out of reach for me. It seemed to be fictional, existing only in books and movies. Kensington Palace and Gardens

If you’re a fan or, at least, interested with the royals and monarchy then Britain is for you.   Kensington Palace has been home to royals for 300 years now. It was where Queen Victoria was born and spent her childhood years, as well as, first moments of being Queen before transferring to Buckingham Palace. For the non-royals savvy, I’m sure you’ve heard of the Victorian Era, aside from the name, I always get reminded of ball gowns, cinched waist…

The Adventure to Stonehenge, Wiltshire

Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words.. well, I think words may hurt me. Most especially, if it’s “Ma’am, the Stonehenge is closed for viewing”.   Just 2 hours outside of London, Stonehenge is usually visited by tourists after The Roman Baths. And that’s exactly what we did. Having just been to the Baths, we arrived at Stonehenge an hour or so before closing time. There were still a number of cars lined up to the entrance but we…

Little Venice in London

Venice, known for its canals and gondolas, has always been on the bucket list of many, mine included. But since a trip to Italy is not feasible at this time, I settled for this cute little gem I found in London.     I never thought I’d find anything close to tranquility in busy London, especially during the day. That changed when we walked through the neighborhood after arriving at Warwick Station (Underground). It was definitely more of a residential…
