Truth be told, I planned to post this on the first week of December. I had a lot of December blogs lined up back in the busy November. But for some reason, it’s been over a month since I’ve written something here. Although, if you’re following me across my social media platforms, I do quite update a lot on there.
I know, I know, I shouldn’t say sorry lest I burn out again in putting too much pressure on myself. But a Christmas LookBook 3 days before Christmas? Not sure who I’ll be able to help out with this! So I’m sorry! I’ll still try anyway, because shooting, and styling, and editing all these would be a waste if I didn’t. Instead, let’s rewrite the narrative.
Here’s 3 last minute Christmas outfits for you to get inspiration from if, by any chance, you still have no idea what to wear on your Christmas dinner/party/gathering/etc!
Classic Red & White with a twist
You can never go wrong with red and white on Christmas season, unless of course, if it’s not the dress code! But if you were to have freedom with what to wear, red and white is such a no brainer color combination to go for. Some even have these colors as dress code. I know our company party did! In fact, I wore this to our company party and these were shot on the night.
Since red and white are simple and straightforward Christmas-y, it’s pretty easy to add on a twist. I decided to wear a statement skirt with red stripes akin to a candy cane. This was actually from a summer haul but it seemed more appropriate this season than then. Pairing it up with a white top, I chose between a one sleeve asymmetrical top and a lace cropped sleeve. As you can see below, I chose the latter. However, if it weren’t a company party, I would totally go for the asymmetrical top to compliment the asymmetrical ruffle skirt. Both works, though!
Oh, and this ensemble bar shoes and bag are years old! Repeat and restyle!

The Crazy, Once in a Blue Moon (Star?) Outfit
Occasions are a great time to go all out, or get crazy. There’s that one party dress sitting in your closet waiting for the perfect time to strike. For me, year-end parties are also the best time to be bolder than usual. Time to experiment. Because if it doesn’t work, well, you have the new year to make resolutions for. But if it does, you also have the new year to continue this new you.
You’ll never find me in a velvet, silver star-filled, daring party dress/play suit. I’m usually in my jeans and shirt on a daily basis. And for the past few years, my party dresses have definitely evolved into something less showy. For one, I can’t stand the cold anymore (signs of aging), and two, I also don’t party much anymore (not that I ever been a party girl). But alas, there’s that moment that happens once in a blue moon where I really like something bold and decide to actually wear it. I’ve been crushing on this velvet piece for a long time and when it went on sale during Black Friday (because yes, I never pay for party dresses at full price anymore), I decided to go for it.

What’s the Trend?
The easiest route to dressing for the holiday parties would be to incorporate something trendy. You don’t need to thoroughly search for this because the shops will aggressively push these trends to you. Have you seen all the animal print coming back this end of year? Well, who says we can’t Christmas it up?
I had this green, silk, pyjama-style top (another trend, I must say) first and I had planned to wear it with mom jeans. But when I saw that the skirt had this cool tone/hue, I immediately saw them working together. And work together, they did. This snakeskin skirt has a neutral palette that you could pair it up with any of the Christmas colors and voila! It should work, as long as, it’s plain or not as loud as the print. Green and red being another classic Christmas combo, made styling this ensemble rather easy and effortless. This one’s probably my favorite out of the three! It’s such a grown-up kind of sexy, don’t you think?
Topshop top, Bershka skirt, Forever 21 bag, H&M heels.
If you haven’t noticed already, yes I’m wearing the same heels and bag in all three outfits. Unless red is stated to be forbidden in an invite, settle down with red. It saved me time (and money), and I no longer have to worry about how to accessorize my outfits when I could just easily work around my red lip, red bag, and red heels. It’s the ultimate Christmas color, so it really is the safest bet for dressing up.
Aaaaand that’s it! That was my last minute Christmas Lookbook brought to you late by my adulting responsibilities and spontaneous holiday plans. While I’m not here, you can find me occasionally updating my Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Oh, and I’m doing a Christmas giveaway over on IG! Join if you can!
Have the most wonderful Christmas! I’ll see you here on the blog before the year ends, fingers crossed!
