I had 4 looks prepared for you lot since October. I’ve planned them and have tried to complete said looks so I could publish them by first week of December. 4 looks that would’ve inspired you or given you ideas on what to wear this party season. But alas, thanks to our beloved (not!) postal service, 2 of these looks have not arrived until now. Yes, 5 days before Christmas and nada. Worse, it apparently arrived in the Philippines back in late October, 2 weeks after I ordered them. So, I’m not quite sure where it is now. Last I checked, it’s just gone through customs last December 9.
After accepting I’ll never get those 2 outfits on time, I decided to style 1 of those 4 looks 3 ways. The other of the 2 I already have, I may also style 3 ways this coming 2018. So, let’s change the course of the subject. Instead of inspiring you what to wear this party season, with barely 5 days left ’til Christmas, I thought it’d be nice to show you how you’d wear them after. Don’t give it away or hide it after wearing once at a party! Let’s style it up in different moods so we can still justify that cost-per-wear.
This one’s still very much along the party-wear alley. If you haven’t thought about your New Year’s Eve party look, this might be it. A mix of glam and grunge, I took this velvet bodycon underneath a mesh/lace dress. Both of which are currently up on sales everywhere! Some of you may even have these already.
I’m not too keen with bodycon dresses anymore, but seeing this one reduced to just 300 ($6), I couldn’t help but think of different ways on how I can style it. Fitted dresses always tickle our insecurities. And of course, we want to wear something we’re comfortable in, which the bodycon dress unfortunately does not offer to most. The relaxed and dreamy silhouette of the mesh dress totally cancels out the body fit nature of the velvet dress. Making it easier to wear for most body types if not all.

Let’s take dressy and sporty together and get this easy-going outfit perfect for any casual day out. This could be a denim skirt and it would still work. However, I’ve been styling that denim skirt far too much into my recent looks that I forced myself to do away with it this time. Hence, I chose this pristine white skirt which made the colors pop out even more.

Desk To Drinks
My favorite out of the three. Anyone can totally rock this outfit as it’s very versatile. Before going out for drinks, you may don some flats first then switch it up to high heels at night, if you prefer. I’ve always loved wearings jeans or trousers with high heels. Not only because it gives us the amazing posture and that leg lengthening effect. There’s a power to it, as if I’m one of those women protagonists in the movies who are about to do something bad ass. You can hear their heels clacking against the marble floors, wearing their power suits and ultimately, winning the day. Is that just me?
Lastly, I also love the added volume around my hips, thanks to the folded dress underneath, haha.
