A little bit late as it’s already halfway through October but don’t worry, some of these color trends will carry on to the new year. It won’t hurt to invest if you’re wanting to add some goodies to your wardrobe! I went ahead and looked through Zaful to give you a preview of this A/W 2017 season’s color trends.
A no-brainer when autumn is mentioned is the color burgundy. Burgundy lips and burgundy everything is always a hit during this time of the year. From make up tutorials to Pinterest boards, this color is already considered an autumn staple. Invest in owning one then repeat next year, and so on. One of my favorite finds is this burgundy sock boots (another key trend) with pale pink lining. It’s a combination of sporty and spice and would look good when paired with dresses!
Yellow & Mustard
Along with burgundy, mustard is also a staple color of autumn and winter. But yellow has slowly made its way through the racks for the last few seasons now. A color that I would’ve never touched years ago has given me some inspiration when it comes to OOTDs. A simple yet good enough to make a statement color will give your basic shirt and jeans combo a much needed oomph. I, for one, particularly love this lemon dress. You may have seen this lemon print everywhere and a nice method to transition from summer to autumn.
Greens are also trying to make a statement albeit slowly. They are still rare in retail but this shade of emerald has always caught my eye. It’s perfect for the holidays, as well, when parties are aplenty. Try and avoid black as donning an emerald green dress will give you as much class as your LBD provides. However, if you’re not to keen on greens, this statement earrings is a small but surefire way of bringing this classy color to your look.
The most recent fashion week has been all about reds. Both runway and street style have been conquered by this bold color. Yes, you don’t have to wait for Valentine’s Day to wear that little red dress anymore! Wearing red from top to toe is even applauded. Although, not many can or would want to pull off an all-red outfit since, admit it, it’s a scary and bold color. So let’s make do in adding this boldness to our daily looks little by little. Starting with footwear, perhaps? Red boots or mules seem to be everyone’s favorite and probably the easiest, when incorporating reds.
Millennial & Hot Pink
Unfortunately, I could not find hot pink items in Zaful, just yet. But make no mistake, hot pink is already gaining traction in retail and also predicted to conquer S/S 2018. Since the rise of Dusty Pink as per Pantone, pink has not left at all. It just went from dusty to pastel to what they now call “millennial” pink and soon, hot pink. But however you call that shade of pink, all pinks are pretty cute and damn easy to wear and match. Thanks to Gucci, horsebit mules are the rage now and this pink one below would be a gorgeous and preppy addition to your wardrobe.
