Fiddler Hats For Fall

I’ve been obsessing over baker boy and fiddler hats since Spring ’17 but I just couldn’t find any within my reach. Not until I found them on Zaful! Ironically, after ordering it online, I found one in a local shop. Thankfully, it wasn’t as pretty as this piece, so my heart wasn’t broken. Then, A/W collection came, and sure enough it’s one of H&M’s key pieces. One of blogger life’s conundrum, especially here in the Philippines, is that trends seem to come in late. I love experimenting with pieces and getting inspired but it’s hard when you don’t have material to experiment with. This is where Zaful and other online shops come in. We get to enjoy trends as early as we want.

Fiddler Hats For Fall

Slogan, ripped denim from summer

For the past month, I may have purchased 5 slogan shirts, oops, and this one takes the cake. My teenager-self would be proud of me for being this petty. As with the rise of book-adapted movies, I used to say this phrase a lot, being an angsty bookworm teen. I probably annoyed my peers too much, thinking about it now. It sure annoys present me. Buying this gray shirt was all in good fun, nothing more. I may not say it enough, but you gotta admit, it still rings true to some.

High-waisted denim is a no-brainer for me, it works with everything! It gives that extra oomph when all you want to wear is a plain tee. A fishnet stocking would’ve worked as well as without, but I’d leave that for you to try as I prefer not wearing one. It’s a bold fashion statement and I didn’t want the spotlight away from the fiddler hat.

A pop of autumn color

Stereotypical as it seems, I could not help but integrate a pop of autumn color to this supposedly monochromatic ensemble. As they’re somewhat complementary colors, blue with mustard doesn’t clash at all.

With it’s grey blue base color and mustard & red checkered lines, this bag tied up this outfit all too well.

Ripped jeans and slogan shirts were big, and thank heavens we live in a tropical world.  So, yes, we can still wear them without fear of freezing. How do you transition from sunny to rainy days?
