Rainy days are upon us once again but I’m not ready to say bye to my summer wardrobe just yet. Blue summer stripes and green prints were massive this summer of ’17 and truly enough it became my anthem, as well. You’ve seen this color palette and texture combination before on my first summer post: Botanical Stripes, that’s why it’s rather familiar.
As with most adults (ugh), I try to save as much as I can for future expenses or travels. Clothes shopping is my number 1 culprit for bank breaking but thankfully, cheap concept stores have been popping up around the city like crazy. I found this 180-peso jumpsuit in Emporium and didn’t think twice of purchasing it. A caveat with cheap finds, however, is that the quality is also usually compromised. I did not realize, until I saw the pictures, how thin it really is that you can see through my underwear. Eek.
Now now, let’s *try* to move past this fashion faux pas.
Jumpsuits and I have a love-hate relationship. It’s not good for the kidney, as it can get real hassle during bathroom breaks. But I can’t resist a good one which can easily give me good hips. Plus, the convenience of packing only 1 garment for a day? Yes, please! Dresses and jumpsuits are life-savers for travelers slash OOTD-ers, haha. And that’s exactly what I needed at Global Wellness Day. I wanted to take advantage of the good location and take photos of style inspirations without packing my whole closet. A cheap jumpsuit with that glorious summer stripes was what I needed.
Accessorizing the jumpsuit was easy. A couple of wicker and weave related pieces and I was good to go.
I’ve gone gaga over this clutch bag for days, months even, and it’s still one of my favorite bags to own. I’d love to have those Bali wicker ones but it seems like everyone has it, already. Though, don’t be surprised if I get one once they’ve marked down, haha! The gorgeous green embroidery on both sides compliments well with the summer vibe of the jumpsuit, and the location!
It was helpful, as well, that I just had a pair of Havaianas made the day before. A pop of pink was the color I didn’t think I needed to add. To tie it up with the rest of the ensemble, I wore a pink-tinted aviators which I find tricky to style. Or maybe I just don’t suit it well, what do you think?
Do you have any last minute summer OOTDs? What are your transitional piece, from sunny to rainy?
Emporium jumpsuit, SM Kultura clutch bag, aggy.ph hat, Havaianas slippers, Parfois accessories.
PS. Thanks, Jean, for taking these photos!
