I have no idea where I got the impression that I’m impersonating an old photographer from an anime show. The sleeveless coat and the black patent flats scream old man to me. Am I stereotyping and/or am I doing a bad stereotype? But hey, I’d like to think old grandpas in anime shows are fashionable.
Given the cold weather in Taiwan when we visited, I intended to wear layers and layers all throughout the trip. However, knowing that I’ll mostly stay in tropical Philippines, I wanted each piece to be wearable in hot weather.
This cropped top is from an online shop in the UK gifted to me last Christmas (thanks, babe!), thus the material is quite thick compared to most tops sold in Philippines. The cold never seeped in, I was mostly affected in areas exposed, my hands and face, so I just found a way to cover those. Besides the function, I love how it pops amidst my usual monochromic choices.
Sleeveless coats have been the craze last year, it’s only right that I get on the bandwagon a year later, haha. It’s actually harder to style than I thought but when you do it right, it’ll be the envy of most. As for my mom jeans, overworked mom jeans, it continues to give me comfort and style in ways I never thought I’d wear.
Me and a random stranger with his awesome New Balance kicks, lol. Hi, Mister!
