I rarely experiment with my looks. I usually go with what I like and comfortable with, which is what everyone should do because fashion should not be always pretentious. Maybe just twice, heh. Print on print isn’t my forte. It scares me. I like it when I see it on others and how they’ve composed and aligned different prints together. But I just can’t seem to do it myself.
This ensemble has been in the works for months. I had the top first as it’s very easy to fall in love with that color palette. Finding the right, if not perfect, bottom and footwear to pair it with was quite the journey. Because I’m still at level 0, I decided to find something that wouldn’t clash with the color. I’d like to think that’s how people start. I was thinking that the prints may be different but if the colors are a bit related then it could be less scary. I finally found this dark blue printed trouser, I felt that it would neutralize the noisiness of the prints.
One last baby step! I disliked sliders when it boomed but I couldn’t think of a better footwear to pair this ensemble with than these relaxed sandals. How did I fare? Let me know how you’d style a print on print combo!
Zara top, H&M trousers, Rubi (via Cotton On) sliders, Bershka crossbody bag.
