Classic Ron… doesn’t post for two weeks and then posts twice in a week. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
It’s been a while since my last haul post and I figured, I’d do one again after another surge of compulsive shopping. I’m not sure if it’s part of growing up or this is just influenced by a growing number of minimalist enthusiasts but I’ve been picking up outfits that doesn’t involve too much color.
Mango Black Long Sleeves; Mango Black Culottes
Let’s start with something that I had difficulty taking a photo of, because why not. You may have already seen this from my previous outfit posts, here and here. This black sheer top from Mango is a classic take on a button down. I believe this is a fashion staple and everyone should at least have one black top which can be easily paired with almost anything.
Another black piece that I got is this black culottes from Mango, the “it” pants right now. Everyone’s been donning culottes and it can be a bit difficult to style. However, I think it’s quite comfortable and best for anyone who wants to change up their wardrobe and get something a little different than usual.
Forever 21 Cropped Tops
Next up are these black and white cropped tops I got from Forever 21. I just have to have three! But of course in different prints to convey different styles. These are not your usual crops though as they are not tight, they hang just above your waist. They can be paired with high waisted skinny jeans.
Ayla Crossbody Bag, Octagon Bangles via The SM Store; Forever 21 Layered Necklace, Rings; New York Army Watch via greatvalueplus.ph
I love love love crossbody bags and this pretty blue-toned grey one is such a cheap find for only $10! I also got some gold accessories because it’s just great with my skin tone and I can effortlessly add them to any look.
I only own a couple of watches and I rarely use them but I’ve always wanted to find a white one and this New York Army watch from greatvalueplus.ph is the right balance of simple and chic. They have quite a selection to choose from and most of them are on sale, too!
Forever 21 Nude Heels, Crossbody Bag; Maybelline The Nudes Palette, Velvet Matte Lip in Mat 12; Nichido Lipliner in Rosette; L’oreal True Match Foundation in G4 Golden Beige
Forever 21 has been on sale forever! Thanks to a couple of 40% off and I finally have gorgeous nude pumps and crossbody bag. Pair these with anything else and I bet it would work just fine! No clash of colors!
I also picked up a few drugstore beauty products. Staying true to my neutrals theme, everything I’ve gotten are basic shades that can be pulled off by anyone.
Georgina Wilson have been featuring this on her Instagram like crazy during the NYFW and because I’m not much of an eyeshadow expert, I wanted it so much the first time I saw the whole palette. (Advertising works, eh?) I thought that the colors were very easy to work on and hoped that the color pay off is good. I’m quite disappointed though when I used it because I like matte colors but it seems like each eyeshadow has a bit of glitter in it. There are shimmery ones like the gold and bronze shades which you obviously would expect a lot of glitter in it but the browns that I thought were matte had glitter too! When I applied it, my eyelid was shimmery despite using the “matte” ones only. Luckily, I don’t have that much eyelid to work on because I have hooded eyes, so it wasn’t that big of a deal, really. However, it doesn’t make me less disappointed. So yes, I’m still on a hunt for matte brown shadows and I’ll probably give in to those pretty MAC shadows already (I’m thinking Omega, Brun, Mystery, Mulch).
They just released a whole range of shades and I decided to try it and so far, I like it as it is somewhat watery, not thick and you can build it in layers. Foundations tend to oxidize on me so I chose a shade lighter than what I should’ve gotten.
MAC Velvet Teddy is my favorite lipstick, but at times, I’d want it to be a little bit more pink than brown so I tend to apply a pink liquid lipstick on top of it. Maybelline Velvet Matte in Mat 12, a muted pink lip color, is the superb solution for what I just described.
Lastly, I found this cheap lip liner by Nichido which can be paired with the Velvet Matte Mat 12 and create a dark brownish pink color.
I’m quite happy with these indulgences despite a few glitter hiccups. What have you been obsessing over recently? Let’s talk and go gaga together in the comments below!
