PxR Playlist of October 2014

I may have said last month that it went by so quickly but boy did October zoomed out of my mind. It was busy hence the few posts (I’m sorry). Nevertheless, music will never be out of our system so here’s your PxR playlist for October. If you’ll notice, this might seem like a 5 of a kind list but multiple good songs in one album or by one artist is rather rare and easy to obsess with.

First off, I know I’m about a year late to this Naughty Boy hype. We’ve only listened to La La La which eventually made us obsessed with Sam Smith but never listened to the other side of the coin. Hotel Cabana is so good though and to list our favorites from the album:

Naughty Boy

Pardon Me (Lynx Peace Edition)

Lifted ft. Emeli Sandé

Wonder ft. Emeli Sandé

Think About It ft. Wiz Khalifa & Ella Eyre

Home ft. Sam Romans

Discovered Childish Gambino through “Heartbeat” from Paul and loved it, only to discover more that he’s Troy Barnes from my beloved show, Community. So yeah, the more reason for me to  check him out. He released his new album called Because The Internet and our favorites are:

Childish Gambino

What Kind Of Love

candler road

telegraph ave.

Sober (from Kauai EP)

Paul is currently obsessed with Majid Jordan’s A Place Like This EP and I’m just getting into it but it is actually real good. Love at first listen basically.

Majid Jordan

All I Do

A Place Like This

And good ones from various artists this month! Medicine has literally just been released a few hours ago but given it’s from The 1975, I know it’d be good and it is.

I’m quite half-hearted with All About That Bass (Paul loves it!), we should all stop body shaming but if it means putting down the other side of the spectrum, and shaming the ‘skinny bitches’ instead, how is it any better than fat shaming, really? But it’s catchy and apparently her saying “Nah, just playing” invalidates the skinny remark. Hmm don’t think so. Still, yay to giving confidence to millions of plus sized women. That’s good enough for me, I suppose.

Chris Brown may not be the best human being to exist but his tunes are good, don’t dislike the song, dislike the singer?

Ella Eyre’s acoustic of this EDM is so good. She took the song to another world.

Ella Eyre – Waiting All Night

Chris Brown – X

Chris Brown ft. Jhene Aiko – Drunk Texting

Meghan Trainor – All About That Bass

The 1975 – Medicine

Lastly, happy halloween everybody! See you again next month, hope you enjoy your new tunes!
